Bathroom Remodeling
Waterproofed properly, then made to look good
Every bathroom we are called in to repair failed the same way: water got behind the tile. Tile is not waterproof and grout is not waterproof — the assembly behind them is, or it is not. That means cement board rather than drywall anywhere it gets wet, a proper waterproofing membrane rolled over it and lapped into the corners, the pan sloped to the drain before anything decorative happens, and the tub or pan set dead level so the first course has something honest to sit on. Get that right and a bathroom lasts twenty years. Get it wrong and the tile looks perfect for two winters while the studs behind it rot. We take bathrooms back to the framing, sort the plumbing, waterproof the wet walls, and rebuild from there.
Our Process
Free Estimate
We look at the room, the plumbing, and what is under the floor. Bathrooms hide their problems, so we price what we can see and tell you what we might find.
Strip to the Studs
Old tile, board and fixtures out, so the framing and the pipes can be seen and fixed rather than tiled over.
Waterproof First
Cement board, membrane lapped into the corners, pan sloped and tested. This is the part you never see and the only part that decides whether it lasts.
Tile & Fit Out
Walls and floor tiled off a laser line, grouted and sealed, then fixtures, vanity, glass and lighting fitted and the room handed back clean.
