Drywall & Painting
Flat walls under good paint, not good paint over bad walls
Paint does not hide anything. It is a thin film that takes the shape of whatever is under it, and side light across a wall will find every ridge, every sanding scratch and every joint that was mudded once and called done. Which is why the drywall stage is where a paint job is actually won: board hung with the seams staggered and fastened off properly, tape bedded without voids, three coats feathered wider each time, then sanded flat and checked with a light held against the wall before primer. After that the painting is straightforward — caulk, prime the repairs so they do not flash, cut in clean, and two coats. We hang and finish new drywall, patch and repair old, match textures, and paint interiors and exteriors.
Our Process
Free Estimate
We look at the walls in raking light, not straight on. That is the only way to see what a wall actually needs before it is priced.
Hang & Fasten
Board hung with seams staggered and screws set to depth. A blown screw head is a nail pop waiting to happen a year later.
Tape, Coat & Sand
Tape bedded, then coats feathered wider each pass, sanded flat and checked against a light before anything is primed.
Prime & Paint
Caulked, repairs spot-primed so they do not flash through, cut in clean, and two full coats rolled off.
